MONKEY MOUNTAIN

Monkey Mountain is one of the most distinctive features of the surrounding landscape. The mountain overlooks Punta de Mita and was considered a sacred area to local indigenous populations and home to gangs of pirates here in the Bay of Banderas.

The Monkey Mountain tour begins with a fun hike under the canopy of the forest while your trained naturalist guide identifies the local flora and fauna along the way. The last leg of the hike includes a 30-minute gradual summit to the top of Monkey Mountain where you will find a captivating 360° vista view of the Bay of Banderas.
